AML and Verification Policy

We verify every player who registers with us, and we check the money that moves through our platform. This page explains exactly when we ask for documents, what we look for and what happens if a check is not completed. Nothing here is hidden in fine print: verification is a legal obligation under our licence and a safeguard for your own funds.

Why Just Casino Verifies You

Our legal obligation

We operate under the Antillephone N.V. licence issued in Curaçao, and that licence binds us to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing rules of our licence jurisdiction. We take those obligations seriously: we run a risk-based AML programme covering customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting and staff training. Since our establishment in 2022 we have treated compliance as a condition of operating, not an optional extra.

Every check we run has one purpose: to confirm that funds wagered on our platform come from a legitimate source and reach the person who actually owns the account. That protects you as much as it protects us, because a verified account is far harder for anyone else to touch.

When We Verify Your Account

Three trigger points

Verification is not a single event. We collect basic identity data at registration, run full document checks before your first withdrawal, and apply enhanced checks when transaction thresholds or risk indicators require them. Here is when each stage applies.

  • Registration: we confirm you are 18 or over, that your details are consistent and that you are not resident in a restricted country such as the USA, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Portugal, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia or Lithuania.
  • First withdrawal: we require full KYC documentation before any payout is released, regardless of the amount.
  • Thresholds and risk triggers: larger transactions, unusual patterns or discrepancies between your account data and your documents prompt additional review at any time.
CheckDocuments we request
IdentityGovernment-issued photo ID: passport, driver licence or national ID card, valid and legible on both sides
AddressUtility bill, bank statement or official government correspondence dated within the last three months

Matching your details

The name on your Just Casino account must match the name on your documents and your payment method exactly. If you registered with a nickname or a shortened name, contact our 24/7 live chat team before submitting documents so we can correct the account record first.

How Verification Works

Step by step

We keep the process short because we know you want your withdrawal, not paperwork. Follow these steps and most files clear review the same day.

  • Log in and open the verification section of your account, or reply to the document request email from [email protected].
  • Photograph or scan each document in full, with all four corners visible and no glare or cropping.
  • Upload the files through the secure portal in your account. Never send documents by live chat.
  • Our compliance team reviews the files and confirms the outcome by email, usually within 24 hours.
  • If anything is unclear, we tell you precisely which document needs replacing rather than rejecting the file silently.

How your documents are protected

Files are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers. Only authorised compliance staff can view them, and each access is logged. We never share your documents with third parties except where we are legally required to do so by our regulator or by law enforcement acting through proper channels.

Source of Funds Requests

When we ask

For most players, a standard ID and address check is the end of the process. In some cases our obligations require us to go further and confirm where the money itself came from. We ask for source of funds evidence when deposits reach levels that our risk framework flags, when betting patterns look inconsistent with the declared profile, or when a withdrawal significantly exceeds your typical activity.

A source of funds request may include payslips, bank statements showing regular income, a salary certificate, business accounts or evidence of an asset sale. We ask only for what the situation requires, and we always tell you why the request has been made and what specifically will satisfy it.

How We Monitor Transactions

Deposits and withdrawals

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes through automated screening and, where flagged, manual review. The minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal are both 30 AUD, and the maximum withdrawal is 7,500 AUD per week. Crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours; fiat withdrawals take one to three business days. We charge no fees on either side.

The same-method rule

If you deposited with a card or e-wallet, we return funds to that same card or e-wallet. This is why we verify payment method ownership: the name on the receiving account must be yours. Where a method cannot receive payouts, such as some prepaid options, we agree an alternative with you after verification.

When Verification Fails

What we do

If documents are missing, unreadable or inconsistent, we place the account on hold for payouts until the issue is resolved. Your balance stays yours: deposits remain in the account and gameplay may continue, but withdrawals are suspended. We tell you the reason in plain language and give you a reasonable window to respond.

If a deadline passes without adequate documents, or if we find deliberate misrepresentation, identity fraud or use of third-party payment methods, we may suspend the account fully and, where the law requires it, report the matter to the relevant authorities. Funds in a fraudulently opened account may be held pending investigation rather than paid out.

  • Withdrawals suspended until documents are provided
  • Repeated failures lead to full account suspension
  • Suspected fraud is escalated to our regulator
  • Genuine mistakes are fixable: contact support and resubmit

How Long We Keep Records

Retention periods

We keep verification records for the period required under our Curaçao licence obligations, which extends for several years after your account closes. Retention is not a choice we make casually: if a transaction on our platform is ever questioned by authorities, the records are what prove your account was operated legitimately and that your payouts were correct.

When the retention period ends, documents are securely destroyed. You can request deletion of marketing data at any time through your account settings or by emailing [email protected], but identity and transaction records must legally be retained.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to verify my account before I can deposit and play?

No. You can register, deposit and play without full verification. We complete KYC checks before your first withdrawal, so have your documents ready before you request a payout.

Which documents does Just Casino accept as proof of identity?

A valid passport, driver licence or national ID card. The document must be legible, uncropped and show all four corners, and the name must match your account name exactly.

How long does verification take?

Most submissions are reviewed within 24 hours. If a document needs replacing, we tell you which one and why, and you can upload a corrected version straight away.

Why was my withdrawal sent back to my card instead of my crypto wallet?

We return withdrawals to the same method used for the deposit wherever possible. If you deposited by card, the payout goes to that card once you have verified it as your own.

What happens if I refuse to provide source of funds evidence?

We cannot process withdrawals above the flagged threshold until the request is satisfied. Your balance is not forfeited, but payouts stay on hold until we complete the review.
